How Carrykin keeps you safe
You’re trusting someone with your things, or carrying things for someone you’ve just met. Here’s what we do, and what you can do too.
What Carrykin does
Flight tickets are checked
Each traveller uploads the flight ticket for their trip. Our team checks the booking with the airline before the trip goes live. The ticket is stored encrypted and is never shown to other users.
Packages stay open
Nothing sealed. The sender shares photos of the open package, and the traveller checks it again at the handover before taking it.
Codes confirm each step
The handover is confirmed with a one-time code. The delivery only completes when the receiver gives the traveller their 4-digit delivery code.
The deal stays on record
The price and each step are kept in the Carrykin chat, so both of you can see what was agreed.
A clear list of what may be sent
Medicines for someone else, cash, jewellery, meat, dairy and cooked meals are not allowed.
Reports are reviewed
You can report a problem from the chat. Our team reviews every report and keeps the record.
What you can do
- Keep the conversation and the deal in the Carrykin chat.
- Never share passwords, one-time codes (OTPs) or ID numbers.
- Meet in a public place for the handover, such as an airport or a station.
- As a traveller, never carry a sealed package or anything you haven’t seen yourself.
- As a sender, only give your handover code when you hand over the package. The receiver should only give the delivery code when they have the package.
- Agree the price and any details clearly in the chat before you meet.
What to keep in mind
Carrykin is a platform that connects people. It isn’t a courier, and these checks reduce risk but can’t remove it completely. If you’re unsure about a person or a package, you can always say no.
