A chat mediator that keeps every deal inside Carrykin
Kin guides both sides through price, meeting time and place, package photos and both codes. For now you can share phone or account numbers in the chat to call each other and arrange the payment directly; e-mails and links stay hidden.
Safer than a post in a group chat
Asking “anyone flying to Delhi?” in a group works – until something goes wrong. Carrykin adds the checks that protect both sides.
| With Carrykin | Arranged in a group chat | |
|---|---|---|
| Who is the traveller? | ID and flight booking checked by our team | A name and a profile picture |
| Where you talk | In the Carrykin chat – the deal is on record; e-mails and links stay hidden, and Kin reminds you never to share passwords or OTPs | Private messages, nothing on record |
| What is inside | Photos of the open package; the traveller checks it before saying yes | Often a closed bag |
| Proof of handover | One-time handover and delivery codes | Your word against theirs |
| What may be sent | A clear banned list: no medicines for others, cash, jewellery, fresh or homemade food | Anything goes – the traveller carries the risk at customs |
| Price | Suggested price, agreed in the chat; no Carrykin fee in the free trial | Haggled each time |
| If something goes wrong | Report from the chat; the deal record stays | Screenshots and luck |

Questions people ask
How much does it cost?
The sender pays the traveller a carrying price. Suggested prices start at €10 for 1 kg and €25 for 3 kg; both sides can adjust within a fair range. During the free trial Carrykin charges no fee and takes no payment – the traveller receives the full price, paid directly by the sender. See the Pricing page for the full table.
Who handles the payment?
During the free trial Carrykin takes no payment and charges no fee. The sender pays the traveller the agreed price directly – for example in cash when you meet for the handover. Carrykin does not hold, transfer or guarantee this money.
When does the traveller get paid?
As you agree in the chat – usually in cash at the handover, before the trip. Kin shows the agreed price in the chat so both sides know the amount.
What can I send?
Personal items such as clothes, books, documents, gifts and factory-sealed packaged food. Not allowed: fresh food, dairy, meat, homemade food, medicines for someone else, cash, jewellery or packages the traveller cannot open and check.
What about customs?
Items must stay within the traveller’s personal duty-free allowance under the customs rules of the destination country. The traveller always sees the open package and can refuse anything. Senders declare the contents.
How do you stop illegal items being hidden in a package?
No platform can promise 100%, so we use several layers. Sealed or wrapped packages are not allowed: the traveller sees everything open and can refuse any item, or the whole package. We recommend travellers unpack and repack everything into their own bag themselves. Every sender and traveller verifies their ID, travellers also verify their flight booking, and our team checks each document by hand. The sender declares the contents and weight, confirms there is no restricted food, medicine, cash or sealed packaging, and shares photos of the open package in the chat. A one-time code confirms the handover, so there is a record of who handed what to whom and when. Either side can report a problem from the chat, and we keep the record if the police or a court ask for it.
Can we exchange phone numbers?
Yes, for now. You may share a phone number or account number in the chat to call each other or arrange the payment. Kin still plans the meeting and shares the codes. Never share passwords, PINs or OTPs.
How do you know people are real?
Travellers verify their ID and flight booking before a trip goes live; our team checks every document by hand. ID documents are stored encrypted and are never shown to other users.
What if something goes wrong?
Report it from the chat. Our team reviews every report and, if needed, keeps the record for a police or court request. See the Terms for liability limits.
